Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, the Butte County Board
of Supervisors called or order a Special Meeting in the Board of
Supervisors Room, County Administration Building, 25 County Center
Drive, Oroville. Supervisors present: Beeler, Dolan, Houx,
Yamaguchi, and Chair Josiassen. Also present: Paul McIntosh,
Chief Administrative Officer; Bruce Alpert, County Counsel, and
Marion Reeves, Assistant Clerk of the Board.
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

02-185 Designation of Butte County's Share of Tobacco Settlement
Revenue - Initiative Measure - Report to the Board - pursuant to
Board direction of June 11, 2002, the Chief Administrative Officer
has prepared a report of the fiscal impacts of the proposed
Tobacco Settlement Revenue Initiative Measure certified as
sufficient by the County Clerk Recorder-Registrar of Voters on
May 22, 2002 - action requested:
1. PASS THE ORDINANCE AS PROPOSED BY THE MEASURE WITHOUT
ALTERATION; OR
2. ADOPT A RESOLUTION PLACING THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE ON THE
BALLOT FOR THE STATEWIDE ELECTION TO BE HELD
NOVEMBER 5, 2002. (165)
