2. County library donations - in accordance with

89-300 3. Jerry Metcalf, Chico - files a claim in the amount
of $150,000 as a result of alleged injuries and
damages sustained on or about February 3, 1989 while
incarcerated in the Butte County Jail - action
requested - REJECT CLAIM AND REFER TO COUNTY COUNSEL
AND RISK MANAGEMENT.
4. Butte County Transit reduced fare program -proposed
is the sale of 10,000 tickets to California State
University, Chico at a cost of $.70 per ticket to
be sold in lots of 10 tickets for use by CSUC
students and staff who use the Butte County
Transit - action requested - AUTHORIZE SALE OF
TICKETS.
5. South Butte County Municipal Court discharge from
accountability - the court submits an application
to discharge from accountability far collection far
assessment of penalty and costs for 200 cases
totaling $48,882.50 in accordance with Government
Code Section 25258 - action requested - AUTHORIZE
RELEASE FROM ACCOUNTABILITY.
6. Salary ordinance amendment - reclassifies the
supervising elections technician position from
salary range 12.5 to range 14.5 - action requested -
WAIVE THE SECOND READING AND ADOPT ORDINANCE 2761.
7. Ordinance amending Chapter 43, Article II, Section
43-2 of the Butte County Code revising public health
laboratory fees - action requested - WAIVE THE
SECOND READING AND ADOPT ORDINANCE 2762.
8. Ordinance adding Chapter 42 to the Butte County Code
regarding public swimming pool operating licenses -
action requested - WAIVE THE SECOND READING AND
ADOPT ORDINANCE 2763.
9. Ordinance amending Section 43-1, Subsection D of the
Butte County Code covering swimming pool inspection
program fees - action requested - WAIVE THE SECOND

10 . Notice of completion - extension of Ophir Road { from

12. Approval of plans and specifications - removal of
six obsolete bridges and replacement with roadway
embankments on the Midway between 1.0 mile and 3.5
males north of Nelson (bridge replacement project
no. BRRS-Y761(5) - plans and specifications have
been completed far the project - action requested -
SUBJECT TO CALTRANS AND FEDERAL HIGHWAY
ADMINISTRATION APPROVAL, APPROVE THE PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS; AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN AND THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO SIGN THE PLAN; ADOPT THE

13. Weights and measures agreement - agreement and
Grants G-701404 has been prepared with the State
Department of Faad and Agriculture in the amount of
$8,508 to provide funding to augment, improve and
maintain a uniform and viable weights and measures
inspection program covering the period July 1, 1989
through June 30, 1990 - action requested -APPROVE
AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE THE AGRICULTURAL
COMMISSIONER/SEALER OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES TO SIGN
ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY.
14. Weights and measures agreement - agreement P-701404
has been prepared with the State Department of Food
and Agriculture in an amount not to exceed $8,094
to augment, improve, and maintain a uniform and
viable inspection program of establishments selling
or distributing petroleum products covering the
period Juiy 1, 1989 through June 30, 1990 - action
requested - APPROVE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE THE
AGRICULTURAL COMMISSIONER/SEALER OF WEIGHTS AND
MEASURES TO SIGN ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY.

89-300 15. 1989-90 Butte County Mental Health Plan (part A) -
part A of the plan has been prepared pursuant to
the provisions of Welfare and Institutions Code
section 5650 and 5651 (d) which is a summary
presentation of expected revenues of county, state,
and federal government funds and all anticipated
public and private funds - action requested -
APPROVE PART A OF THE COUNTY PLAN AND ADOPT
RESOLUTION 89-105 ADOPTING THE PLAN, AND AUTHORIZE
THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN.
16. Contractor's release - 1987-88 dental disease
prevention program - a contractor's release has been
prepared for agreement no. 87-91602 as all
conditions of the contract have been met - action
requested - APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S RELEASE AND
AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN.
17, Child Protective Service agreements - agreements
have been prepared with the following persons
covering services provided in the maximum amount of
$9,950 covering the period July 1, 1989 through
June 30, 1990: Maija Clarke, family therapy;
Maureen Balam, family therapy; Tom Haber, individual
therapy; and Enloe Hospital Health and Stress
Center, individual therapy - action requested -
APPROVE AGREEMENTS AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN TO
SIGN.
18. Welfare Department classification study - based upon
a Memorandum of Understanding agreement to study
some positions in the Welfare Department, the need
to respond to several grievances, and a general need
for a classification study to assist with the
organization of the department, a classification
study is needed in the Welfare Department. The
study would be funded totally by state and federal
revenues - action requested - AUTHORIZE THE
PERSONNEL DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH
COOPERATIVE PERSONNEL SERVICES FOR A CLASSIFICATIDN
STUDY OF WELFARE DEPARTMENT POSITIONS IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $30,000 ORIGINALLY BUDGETED FOR OTHER
PURPOSES; AND DIRECT THAT THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE
AGREEMENT BE INCLUDED IN THE FINAL 1989-90 BUDGET
BASED ENTIRELY UPON ADDITIONAL FEDERAL AND STATE
REVENUES.

Leasing covering the acquisition of a personal
computer and related equipment in the amount of

20. Recorder's Office - destruction of photostatic
records - the County Clerk/Recorder requests Board

21. Advancement of salary step - heavy equipment
