7. Award of bid 5-91 - portable air compressor - the
Purchasing Department received and opened bids for
a portable air compressor for the Public Works
Department. Bids have been evaluated and the lowest
bid meeting specifications is Sullair Pacific of
West Sacramento in the amount of $9,947 plus tax -
action requested - AWARD BID.
8. County service area service charges - in order to
levy service charges in the various county service
areas it is necessary to accomplish several
prerequisite steps - action requested - DIRECT THAT
REPORT OF SERVICE CHARGES BE PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE
WITH GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 2521D.77A AND THAT SAID

10. Tax and Revenue Anticipation Note Issue far
1990/91 - a resolution has been prepared authorizing
the maximum issuance of $4,000,000 for Butte
Community College to reflect revised financing

11. PERS contract amendment for local safety members -
an ordinance has been prepared authorizing amendment
of the PERS contract to provide for two (2) percent
at age 50 retirement benefits far local safety

READING AND ADOPT ORDINANCE 2852.
12. Salary ordinance amendment - Administration
Department - proposed is an ordinance flexibly
staffing a secretary IT position to secretary IT/
administrative services assistant due to the
difficulty in recruiting candidates who possess
shorthand skills. Both classifications are at
salary range 29 - action requested - WAIVE THE FIRST
READING OF THE ORDINANCE.
13. Salary ordinance implementing Welfare Department
classification study - a salary ordinance amendment
has been prepared implementing the class study for
the Management, Confidential, and Supervisory Unit
only. The County negotiators and the employee
organization have agreed upon the salary ordinance
and the additional five positions are represented
in the proposed budget for 1990/91 - action
requested - WAIVE THE FIRST READING OF THE SALARY
ORDINANCE.
14. Notice of completion - construction for widening
shoulders and culverts, installing signs and placing
pavement markings on various Butte County roads,
federal hazard elimination project no. HES-
000S{275} - action requested - ACCEPT PROJECT,
AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION,

17. Joint Powers Agreement between County of Butte and
County of Plumas for Victim/Witness Assistance
Program services _ proposed is an amendment to the
agreement approved by the Board on June 19, 1990
increasing compensation from $1,031 per month to
$1, 067 - action requested - APPROVE AMENDMENT AND
AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN SUBJECT TO APPROVAL

18. 1.990/91 Master Grant Agreement - proposed is an
agreement with the State Department of Health
Services in the maximum amount of $116,557 which
provides 100 percent State funding for the provision
of a variety of AIDS related testing and educational

SIGN; AND AUTHORIZE THE HEALTH OFFICER TO SIGN THE

State will make available 100 percent State Rural
