in the maximum amount of $21,780 - action
requested - APPROVE LEASE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE
THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN.
12. Paul K. and N. Jeannine Forberg - the lease
agreement is for the office space utilized by the
Mental Health Department's Community Services
Program for the period July 1, 1989 through June 30,
1990 in the maximum amount of $3,960 - action
requested - APPROVE LEASE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE
THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN.
13. Butte County Office of Education - the agreement is
part of the Community Youth Links collaborative
project with the Mental Health Department's Alcohol
and Drug Division for the period July 1, 1989
through June 30, 1990 in the amount of $93,803 -
action requested - APPROVE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE
THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN.
14. Department of Rehabilitation - the contract renewal
in the amount of $11,199 provides vocational
rehabilitation services to county residents with
alcohol problems through June 30, 1992 pursuant to
an annual administrative review and availability of
funds - action requested - APPROVE THE AGREEMENT AND
AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN.
15. U. C. Davis training contract - the Welfare
Department requests approval for contract na. 5-8916
in the amount of $3,200 for two days of on-site
training - action requested - APPROVE CONTRACT AND
AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN.
16. Catalyst Women's Advocates, Inc. contract amendment
no. 10 - Board authorization is requested to extend
the contract in the amount of $22,800 through the

19. Advance step hiring - the Public Works Department
has experienced difficulty in recruiting and
retaining qualified heavy equipment mechanics and

STEP HIRING.
20. Community Development Block Grant agreement na. 88-
STBG(358) with the State Department of Housing and
Community Development - a resolution has been
prepared approving the agreement to fund the 1988/89
Community Development Block Grant program for the
Villa Verona Sewer Project and authorizing the
Public Works Director to sign the grant agreement
an behalf of the County - action requested - ADOPT
RESOLUTION 89-151 AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN TO

21. Food coupon issuance agreement amendment - the
amendment with the U.S. Postal Service covers over
the counter issuance of food coupons effective
