Pledge af alleqiance to the Flag of the United States of America. 93-370 Items removed from the Consent Agenda for Board consideration and action. 1. Introduction of salary ordinances implementinq 1993-94 final budqet: A. The proposed ordinance does not include any personnel actions (i.e., reductions in full- time allocated positions or adding new allocated positions that become effective in November or December, 1993, and also does not include the position reductions which were scheduled to take effect October 23, 1993) - action requested - WAIVE READING OF THE ORDINANCE. B. The proposed ordinance incorporates a five percent salary reduction for elected and appointed department heads - action requested - WAIVE READING OF THE ORDINANCE. Butte County Employees' Association (BCEA) - the County and BCEA have reached a tentative agreement, subject to ratification of the Board of Supervisors and members of the General Unit, to implement a work hour reduction and on changes to the compensation schedule upon a date to be determined by the County - action requested: A. RATIFY THE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN; AND B. ADOPT RESOLUTION 93-146, SUBJECT TO RATIFICATION BY BCEA, TO ENROLL THE BUTTE COUNTY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION (GENERAL UNIT) IN THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM (PERS) HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 1993 AND AUTHORZZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN. 2. Butte County Deputy Sheriffs' Association - the general (LEG) and manaqement/supervisory (LEMS) units have reached a tentative agreement, subject to ratification of their membership, to enroll in the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) Health Insurance Program effective November l, 1993 - action requested - ADOPT RESOLUTIONS 93-147 AND 93-148 AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TO ENROLL THE DEPUTY SHERIFFS' ASSOCIATION - GENERAL (LEG) AND MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY (LEMS) UNITS IN THE PERS HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 1993 AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN. 3. Elected and appointed department heads - a resolution has been prepared which will permit elected and appointed department heads to enroll in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Medical Insurance Proqram effective November 1, 1993 - action requested - ADOPT RESOLUTION 93-149 TO ENROLL COUNTY ELECTED AND APPOINTED DEPARTMENT HEADS IN THE PERS MEDICAL INSURANCE PROGRAM EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 1993 AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SZGN. MOTION: I MOVE TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA WITH THE CORRECTION OF ITEM 3.03 (RESOLUTIONS) AND REMOVAL OF ITF.Ir! 3.01. SHE ALSO EXTENDED THE BOARD'S DEEP APPRECIATION TO DEPARTMENT HEADS FOR ACCEPTING THE WAGE REDUCTZON.)
