October 19, 2000
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, the Butte County Board
of Supervisors called to order at 6:06 p.m., a special meeting of
the Board, jointly sponsored by the Airport Land Use Commission,
the Butte County Board of Supervisors, the Chico City Council, the
Oroville City Council, and the Paradise Town Council. The meeting
was held at the Chico Area Recreation and Park District, Community
Recreation Center, General Purpose Room, 545 Vallombrosa Avenue,
Chico. Supervisors present: Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis, and
Chair Dolan. Butte County staff present: John S. Blacklock, Chief
Administrative Officer; Bruce Alpert, County Counsel; and Marion
Reeves, Assistant Clerk of the Board. Airport Land Use Commission
members present: Donald wallrich, Norm Rosene, Brian Baldridge,
Robert Harp, Duane Greenwood, Terry Hodges, Nina Lambert, and John
Papadakis. Airport Land Use Commission/Butte County staff
present: Tom Parilo, M.A. Meleka, Laura Webster, and Cheryl Spoor.
Chico City Council members present: Maureen Kirk, Steve Bertagna,
Sheryl Lange, Daniel Herbert, and Colleen Jarvis. Chico City
staff present: Tom Lando, City Manager; and Kim Seidler, Chico
Planning Director. Oroville City Council members present: Art
Hatley, Gary Alt, Joe Spada, and Karolyn Fairbanks. Oroville City
staff present: Ruben Duran, City Administrator; and Dwight Moore,
City Attorney. Paradise Town Council members present: Alan white,
Debbie Presson, and Al McGreehan. Additional staff members
present at roll call: Steve Lucas, Wendy Coggins, and Allen
Sherwood.

Regular Agenda
00-332 Draft Comprehensive Land Use Plan - workshop to Present the 2000
Draft Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan and Addendum to the
Butte County Board of Supervisors, Chico City Council, Paradise
Town Council, and Oroville City Council - presentation by Ken
Brody of Shutt Moen Associates, of the Draft Airport Land Use
Compatibility Plan and Addendum. The proposed Airport Land Use
Compatibility Plan and Addendum contain compatibility criteria and
compatibility zones proposed for each of the County's public use
airports, which apply to: the Chico Municipal Airport, the
Oroville Airport, the Paradise Skypark Airport, and the Ranchaero
Airport. The purpose of the workshop is strictly to provide
information to local legislative bodies and no action regarding
the Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan will occur. Members of
the public will be invited to make comments following the
consultant's presentation and the questions/comments of the
legislative bodies - action requested - ACCEPT FOR INFORMATION.

MOEN ASSOCIATES. NO ACTION TAKEN

ADJOURNMENT: there being no further business before the
Board, the meeting was adjourned at 7:29
p.m., to reconvene at a regular meeting of
the Board to be held Tuesday,
October 24, 2000, at 9:00 a.m.
