Construction of Oroville in the amount of $23,725
(Correctional Facilities Trust). Budqet transfer
B-44 has been prepared to provide the necessary
appropriation - action requested - APPROVE BUDGET
TRANSFER B-44, AWARD BID TO SEARS CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,725, AND AUTHORIZE THE

Purchasinq Department received and opened bids for
a 4x4 pickup truck for the Sheriff's Department.

amount of $16,237.31 (Marijuana Suppression Proqram

14. 1992-93 Final Report of the Butte County Grand
Jury - comments for the Board of Supervisors have
been drafted by the Board's committee - action
requested - APPROVE COIrII~NTS AND DIRECT THAT THEY
BE SUBMITTED TO THE PRESIDING JUDGE OF THE SUPERIOR
COURT IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROVISIONS OF THE PENAL
CODE.
15. Excess proceeds from the sale of tax defaulted
property - Revenue and Taxation Code Section 4675
requires that excess proceeds be distributed, no
sooner than one year followinq recordation of the
Tax Collector's deed to the purchaser, to the
parties of interest who have claimed the excess
proceeds in the order of priority set forth

California Water Service Company has filed an
application with the California Public Utilities
Commission for an increase in rates of
approximately 2.91~ in its Chico-Hamilton City

b. Jack Slota, City Administrator, City of Gridley -
notifies the Board that the Gridley City Council
has apprvved a request to resume the Prison Study
that began several years ago. The State Department
of Corrections has indicated an interest in siting
a prison in this region, but will not begin the
process of sitinq a facility without resolutions of
support from the county and city in which the
facility would be located. The Council is
requesting that County representatives examine this
issue with them. (REFER TO CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICER AND COUNTY COUNSEL)
