Budqet transfer B-44 has been prepared to provide the necessary appropriation - action requested - APPROVE BUDGET TRANSFER B-44, AWARD BID TO SEARS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,725, AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN THE CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT. 13. Award of bid 20-94 (4x4 pickup truck) - the Purchasinq Department received and opened bids for a 4x4 pickup truck for the Sheriff's Department. The low bidder is Wittmeier Chevrolet, Chico in the amount of $16,237.31 (Marijuana Suppression Proqram Grant) - action requested - AWARD BID. 14. 1992-93 Final Report of the Butte County Grand Jury - comments for the Board of Supervisors have been drafted by the Board's committee - action requested - APPROVE COIrII~NTS AND DIRECT THAT THEY BE SUBMITTED TO THE PRESIDING JUDGE OF THE SUPERIOR COURT IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROVISIONS OF THE PENAL CODE. 15. Excess proceeds from the sale of tax defaulted property - Revenue and Taxation Code Section 4675 requires that excess proceeds be distributed, no sooner than one year followinq recordation of the Tax Collector's deed to the purchaser, to the parties of interest who have claimed the excess proceeds in the order of priority set forth therein - action requested - ADOPT RECOIrII~IENDATION OF COUNTY COUNSEL FOR AN AMENDMENT TO EXCESS PROCEEDS FROM SALE OF TAX DEFAULTED PROPERTY AND ORDER DISTRIBUTION PURSUANT TO REVENUE AND TAXATION CODE SECTZON 4675. 16. Public Small Water Proqram - on December 17, 1991 the Board approved a letter of intent advising the State Department of Health Services that Butte County supports local public water supply monitoring as opposed to State monitorinq. Implementation of the proqram has been delayed pending resolution at the State level of fee chanqes and monitoring procedures - action requested - RECOGNIZE UNANTICIPATED REVENUE OF $20,000, APPROVE BUDGET TRANSFER B-46, AUTHORIZE ONE 50$ ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST POSITION, AND APPROVE PURCHASE OF A COMPUTER AND PERIPHERAL EQUIPMENT IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $2,600. 18. Animal Damage Control (ADC) Program - the Board approved the continuation of the ADC Proqram pending identification of fundinq sources to augment current funding sources. The Board, on September 28, 1993, adopted ordinance no. 3093 which implements new proqram fees - action requested - RECOGNIZE UNANTICIPATED REVENUE ($7,500/NEW FEES; $16,680/UNCLAIMED GAS TAX; TOTAL/$24,180); AND APPROVE BUDGET TRANSFER B-48. 19. 1993 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) consultant services - the Request for Proposals Selection Committee (Supervisors Dolan and Meyer, Chief Administrative Officer, Director-Public Works and Auditor-Controller) recommend Connerly & Associates - action requested - ACCEPT THE COMMITTEE RECOMI~IENDATION AND APPROVE THE SELECTION OF CONNERLY & ASSOCIATES AS THE CONSULTANT TO ADMINISTER THE 1993 CDBG PROGRAM. 20. District Attorney/Family Support Division - Board approval is requested to use existinq budgeted funds to contract for service of process services - action requested - APPROVE CONTRACT WITH ADI INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES, SMARTVILI,E COMHIENCING DECEMBER 1, 1993 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1994 IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $22,000 SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE AUDITOR-CONTROLLER AND COUNTY COUNSEL. 27. Private Industry Council (PIC) - Job Traininq Partnership Act - the proposed cooperative agreement between the PIC and the State Department of Education for 1993-94 provides school-to-work transition services for Oroville youth that meet eliqibility requirements. Private Industry Council (PIC) - Job Traininq Partnership Act - the proposed cooperative agreement between the PIC and the State Department of Education for 1993-94 provides remedial education services to GAIN clients in Butte County. Jack Slota, City Administrator, City of Gridley - notifies the Board that the Gridley City Council has apprvved a request to resume the Prison Study that began several years ago. The State Department of Corrections has indicated an interest in siting a prison in this region, but will not begin the process of sitinq a facility without resolutions of support from the county and city in which the facility would be located.
