County Library donations - in accordance with Government Cade Section 25355, donations have been received as follows: $327 from Oroville Friends of the Library for the purchase of books, and $200 from Chico Friends of the Library for books at the Chico branch in honor of volunteers - action requested -ACCEPT DONATIONS AND AUTHORIZE LETTERS OF APPRECIATION. 4. Gridley Memorial Hall donations - the Gridley Rotary Club has donated 30 new tables and the Latter Day Saints Church have donated three large chair racks and numerous dishes to the hall for use by hall users - action requested - ACCEPT DONATIONS AND AUTHORIZE LETTERS OF APPRECIATION. 5. Sheriff search and rescue unit donation - Dr. Robert Bellin of Chico has donated a 20-foot aluminum river boat, with engines and trailer with an approximate value of $10,000 -action requested - ACCEPT DONATION AS A COUNTY FIXED ASSET AND AUTHORIZE LETTER OF APPRECIATION. 6. Pine Creek Cemetery District - a resolution has been prepared increasing the number of trustees of the Pine Creek Cemetery District from three to five members - action requested -ADOPT RESOLUTION INCREASING THE NUMBER OF TRUSTEES AND APPOINT J. Lee Max Barnett, Oroville - files a claim in the amount of $10 million as a result of alleged injuries and damages sustained on or about July 7, 1987 while incarcerated in the Butte County Jail -action requested -REJECT CLAIM AND REFER TO COUNTY COUNSEL AND RISK MANAGEMENT. 8. Richard Alan Pyle, Stirling City - files a claim in the amount of $400,500 as a resulted of alleged damages sustained on or about September 25, 1987 while incarcerated in the Butte County Jail -action requested -REJECT CLAIM AND REFER TO COUNTY COUNSEL AND RISK MANAGEMENT. 9. Law Offices of A. John Merlo - on behalf of Tim Colbie, files a claim in the amount of $41,781 as a result of alleged injuries and damages sustained on or about December 16, 1987 in Chico involving Butte County Transit bus - action requested -REJECT CLAIM AND REFER TO COUNTY COUNSEL AN RISK MANAGEMENT. 10. Notice of completion -recarpeting of Caunty buildings - Harrell's Carpet Warehouse has satisfactorily completed the recarpeting of the Mental Health Inpatient Facility in Chico and the Probation Offices in Oroville - action requested -ACCEPT THE WORK AND AUTHORIZE THE RECORDING OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION. 11. Loan to County Service Area 75 (North Park Subdivision) - a resolution has been prepared to loan $2,665 from the CSA loan revolving fund to CSA 75 in order to cover installation of street lights and cost of anticipated additional power for the remainder of the fiscal year. Budget transfer B-57 has been prepared to provide the necessary appropriation - action requested -ADOPT RESOLUTION 87-281 AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN. 12. Salary ordinance amendment - the ordinance adds an agricultural biologist position to the Agricultural Department as authorized by the Board as part of supplementary budget funding -action requested - WAIVE THE SECOND READING AND ADOPT ORDINANCE 2647. 13. 1987 Family Week - action requested - ADOPT RESOLUTION 87-282 DECLARING NOVEMBER 22-28, 1987 AS 1987 FAMILY WEEK AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN. 14. Program Supplement No. 47 - Master Agreement No. 03-5912 - the supplement covers funding for the bridge replacement project of removing bridges and constructing culverts at five locations and replacing a bridge at one location, all locations on the Midway, HBRR Project No. BRRS-Y761(005). Funding is as follows: federal, $399,200; county matching, $99,800; total, 5499,000. Hazardous materials response vehicle - Butte County has received a $94,000 grant from the State Department of Health Services to purchase and outfit a hazardous materials response vehicle - action requested - APPROVE CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASING OFFICER TO SIGN ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY. 17. Award of appreciation - Ernest E. Hatch - action requested - APPROVE AWARD OF APPRECIATION. 18. Reissuance of warrant - Wade L. HEALTH. SEWAGE DISPOSAL WILL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE BUTTE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT. NO ADDITIONAL MITIGATION IS REQUIRED. 1a. OFEN SPACE: THE PROJECT PROPOSED TO ESTABLISH A GRAZING EASEMENT COVERING APPRO%IMATELY 50 ACRES.
