Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, the Chair of the
Butte County Board of Supervisors called to order a Special
Meeting of the Board in the Board of Supervisors Room, County
Administration Building, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville.
Supervisors present: Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi, and Chair
Josiassen. Also present: Lawrence Odle, Interim Chief
Administrative Officer; Bruce Alpert, County Counsel; and
Dorothy Bell, Deputy Clerk of the Board.
Pledge Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

01-405 Measure B-Redistricting Referendum Ordinance - Ballot
Arguments - consideration of a resolution authorizing members
of the Board of Supervisors to submit ballot arguments for and
against Measure B, the redistricting referendum ordinance, for
the March 5, 2002, election - action for consideration - ADOPT
RESOLUTION AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN. (25)
MOTION: I MOVE TO DESIGNATE CHAIRMAN JOSIASSEN TO WRITE THE ARGUMENT
IN FAVOR OF MEASURE B AND ANY REBUTTAL TO THAT ARGUMENT, AND
TO DESIGNATE THAT ANY BOARD MEMBERS WHO SO CHOOSE TO SIGN THAT
BALLOT ARGUMENT MAY DO SO (ADOPT RESOLUTION 01-145).
