Dear Supervisors:
I know I am speaking for many when I make one last plea to support the majority of
the citizens in Butte County. Please consider the reasons a lenient ordinance would
be a terrible mistake. The safety of the people absolutely needs to be a priority
when considering the criminal activity of pot growing. You also must consider the
safety of law enforcement as well as their time wasted trying to enforce many
different requirements.
After the first meeting when we thought the requirements sounded great, the loud
and stoned minority managed to get many of the requirements either eliminated or
lowered. How did that happen? Now they feel powerful with their threatening
signs, petitions and threats and are sure they are going to win you over.
Remember, the citizens that are against this are mostly working and can not attend
these meetings but they do vote! They are counting on YOU to do the right thing.
They have families and are trying to raise them to be responsible adults and do not
want their children exposed to this type of behavior. T~Ye consider this a very
serious decision you are making and are asking you to please follow the city of
Biggs and allow marijuana to be grown only indoors. After all, we are talking
about a DR UG!
