Good Day Board of Supervisors
My name is Mike Mitchell, owner of Body & Saul Adventures. My business (www.badysouladventures.com) is
thinking about opening a venue at The Goddess Temple but from my observations from the planning
commission meeting I attended on May 10th' (if I am not mistaken) I have serious doubts because of what I
heard and saw. I felt that both sides should have had a chance to tell their side of the story to came to a fair
decision on May 1011' at that meeting. I was given a chance to express my side at the story in an unof0cial
meeting the next day and all who attended were pleasantly surprised to hear what I was planning to do at the
Goddess Temple . I have been running my business successfully for over the past 10 years in Brazil, recently
voted by NBC htt toda travel.toda .msnbc.msn.com news 2012 06 22 12342854-6- faces-where- au-
can-reinvent-yourself?lite ~ as one of the top 6 places in the world to go to to rejuvenate and distress as we do a
lot of yoga, healthy diet, hiking and our service & care of our guests is known globally.
As my concerns are always about quietness, respecting the environment & integrity. I have doubts about the
move to Chico & based on what I have witnessed . If the Goddess Temple does not get its permit I will be
looking for another venue in another part of the world even though I feel The Goddess Temple is a perfect
match for our adventure. i will not take a risk of future potential problems that involve local government biased
decisions and fabricated stories from the locals.
I hope the right decision gets made.
