The Act was implemented through congressional action and would have to be re-authorized at the federal Level.. However, Assembly Member Brian Dahle is authoring Assembly Joint Resolution 9, which would convoy to Congress and President 4barna the State Legislature's support fax re-autlzorizatian of these vital federal. funds far rural schools. AJR 9 is currently awaiting a hearing in the Asserribly Eclueation Garnznittee, and 1 intend. to si~pporl the-resolution should it reach rr~e in the Senate.
