Last night, DWR provided a briefing on the Oroville Dam to local law enforcement and the media. DWR continues to evaluate the damage to the spillway to see if the spillway can be brought back online in order to release water from Lake Oroville.The goal is to begin releasing water by tomorrow. DWR has requested all agencies direct the public to call the DWR Public Affairs Office at (916) 653-1074. A recorded message is available on (530) 534-2307. We will also provide this information to all departments as we are getting many inquiries from the public. DWR has asked for any media inquiries about the Oroville Dam to be directed to: Kevin Dossey at (530) 534-2329 or(530) 521-3503 Ted Thomas (916) 653-9712 DWR will hold a briefing at 2:00 pm today. We will provide more information as it becomes available. Dennis will continue to provide updates about impacts from the storms, road closures, and localized flooding.
