Subject: Orovi||eDam Information from DVVR/NVVS
Good Afternoon.
VVeunderstand many ofyou may behearing rumors about the{}rovi||eDam.The{}rovi||eDam iafine.
The current concern with the Dam iaabout the spillway. Engineers have been called in to assess the spillway.The flows
have been stopped over the spillway to aid in the assessment,there is approximately 5,400 US going through the power
house right now.This is a very low level going out, similar to the levels released during the summer.
Another concern is for levee systems downstream on the feather river with the rapid lowering of the releases. Levee
maintaining agencies are being contacted and advised to patrol the levees and watch for sloughing so mitigation
measures can betaken.The County does not maintain any ofthese levees.
The County's Office of Emergency Management is in contact with the Flood Operations Center,the Governor's Office of
Emergency Services and the National Weather Service to monitor the situation.
Thanks.
Casey
