The applicant, the Northern California Regional Land Trust, intends to purchase an agricultural conservation easement from the landowner Millennium Farms, LLC. The conservation purposes of this easement would enable the properly to remain in productive agricultural use by preventing uses of the property #ha# would impair or interfere with the property's agricultural productive capacity, its sails, and i#s agricultural character, values, and utili#y. The grantor of the easement is the sole owner in fee simple of the farm property identifed by assessor's parcel number 025-200-D33. The property consists of approximately 96 acres of land located approximately one {1 }mile eas# of the Town of Gridley in Butte County (please see attached). The properly is open farmland, whose soils have been classified as Prime Farmland by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service, and by the California Department of Conservation's Famlland Mapping and Monitoring Program. Prime Farmland, more than any other land classification, has the soil quality, growing season, and water supply needed for sustained agricultural production. I've attached a sample resolution provided by the California Farmland Conservancy Program (please see attached} to this correspondence to be used at the Board's discretion. Thank you for placing this request on the next available Board meeting agenda.
