Dear Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Yamaguchi and Lambert,
I truly do appreciate all your earnest efforts to do what is right with the creation and adoption of a marijuana growing
ordinance. I understand that this subject brings mare stress for you than ever imagined. l sincerely appreciate your
courageous, assertive, and decisive manner with which you deaf with the percentage of disrespectful proponents of the
pro-marijuana side. When this issue is settled, we will have you to thank for protecting the law-abiding, patriotic
families and citizens of our county.
If we are stuck with California law allowing the "medicinal use" of marijuana, I prefer a strongly worded ordinance
requiring all growing to be done indoors, similar to the Biggs and Gridley ordinances, with enforceable penalties. There
should be neat distances required between grows and places where minors congregate. The sight or smell of M grows
should result in eradication. Licenses to grow and sell should require significant fees.
The ordinance enacted by our county should discourage its use, not enable its use to spread.
