To Whom It May Concern,
Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce is comprised chiefly of small businesses, and the programs,
resources, research and on-the-ground, practical insight delivered by Butte County Economic
Development Corporation are invaluable. At our Chamber retreat in February, CEO Debra Lucero provided
for our Board of Directors and overview of the work and mission of Butte County EDC. She also shared
best practices and success stories regarding the Chamber's role in creating jobs and attracting businesses.
We came away with information, ideas and inspiration to exploit our greatest resource: tourism.
BCEDC maintains consistent contact with our Chamber with reliable information and innovative programs.
BCEDC's outreach made one of our members aware of a grant his company was able to take advantage of.
Our members have made new connections and reached new markets through events such as agricultural
speed_dating. BCEDC provides many crucial services for our small businesses, including exposure through
spotlights and videos, resources and support, and networking events. BCEDC has been responsive to the
current economic climate with support for innovative business models and fosters cross-promotion and
regional cooperation.
Particularly in this economy, it is crucial to our Chamber, our small businesses and our local and regional
community that we maintain continued access to this important asset. Thank you for your consideration.
