YAMAGUCHI Fifth Distric# Dear Chairman Perea, Butte County Board of Supervisors CC: ~ embers, Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee County State Legislative Delegation embers of the Board of Supervisors Paul Yoder; Peterson Consulting, Inc. On behalf of Butte County, we are pleased to inform you of our support of your AB 36. With the passage of federal health care reform, California must pass conforming legislation to address the tax liability concerns for adult children that could be added to their parent's insurance. Without this conforming legislation, potential problems are imminent for employers trying to deal with the taxation issues associated with health insurance for the adult children that have been added to their parents' policies. This will have an effect on many working families in Butte County, as this is the only way many young people are able to gain any level of health insurance coverage in the current economy. As an organization, this will impact a significant number of our employees. We are proud to lend our name as a supporter of AB 36 (Perea), and thank you for authoring this important measure. Sincerely, Steve Lambert
