Kirk, Maureen;
Dear Chico City councilors and Butte county Board of Supervisors,
The attached letter was written by the Bidwell Mansion Community Project Inc. (BMCP)
and a signed hard copy was hand-delivered to Assemblyman pan rogue yesterday at the
labor commissioner's meeting held at the Chico city Council Chambers.
The letter focuses on the on-going negotiations between state Parks and the BMA
{Bidwell Mansion Association). Since the Bidwell Mansion is an important constituent
part of your community, we thought you should be aware of the BMCP`s position; we
are resolute in our intent to work together with the dedicated folks at the BMA to
continue to keep the mansion safe and open to the public.
Sincerely,
Maria Phillips, BMCP, Press Secretary

Hon. Dan Logue
Assemblyman
3rd Assembly District
State Capitol
Sacramento, CA 95$14
Dear Assemblyman Logue:
We are pleased to write this letter affirming that the newly incorporated
Bidwell Mansion Community Project, Jnc. i;BMCP} stands behind the
Bidwell Mansion Association (BMA) as a cooperating association with
the Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park-
Fn view of the unexpected revelations of the last few days and the uncertain
funding for all of our state parks, we are even more motivated to stand
together with groups and organizations that aim to benefit our beloved
mansion. These revelations, regardless of their cause, suggest that it is more
important than ever to assure that the BMA funds, so successfully managed
under the care and tutelage of the BMA for so many years, be fully reinstated
to them so they may continue in their cooperating role to benefit the mansion.
We take the opportunity to thank you for the great help you have given our
community on this issue and want you to know that we very much appreciate and rely
on your willingness to continue protecting your constituents' cultural patrimony in
such a fair, objective, and productive manner.
Sincerely,
Nancy Qverton
