Re: Plumes NF Travel Management Plan
In September 2011, the Butte County Board of Supervisors voted to file a lawsuit against the
Plumes Travel Management Plan on the behalf of their citizens.
It has been ten months since this decision was made by the Board, but the lawsuit still has not
been filed.
My family has lost access to camp sites that we have used in the past, and our family deer
camp is no longer accessible.
I understand the county is negotiating with the Forest Service regarding access to a few specific
roads, which is generally at discretion of the Iocal forest. But there are many other regional and
national issues #hat are not included in these negotiations that can only be settled in courk.
We encourage you to follow through with your promise to the citizens of Butte County and file
the lawsuit immediately so that the right to access our public lands is preserved. To lose these
basic rights would be an injustice to all.
Respectfully,
