Applicants Sought for Glenn, County Private Pumper Advisory Committee
Willows, CA-The Glenn County Board of Supervisors is seeking interested individuals to serve on the newly
formed Private Pumper Advisory Committee. The purpose of the committee is to advise the Board of
Supervisors on matters related to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act. The committee will consist
of seven members, one from each Supervisorial District and two at-large members. Committee members will
serve at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors. The Committee will be a balanced representation of private
groundwater pumpers. The Board is seeking individuals that are reliant on groundwater to advise the Board
on important decisions regarding the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act such as Groundwater
Sustainability Agency formation and governance, Groundwater Sustainability Plan development, and
implementation of the plan. Please see the definition of Private Pumper on the Committee Application
forms, If you are interested in serving on this committee, please complete a County Committee Appointment
Application Form and the Appointment Application Supplemental Attachment for the Private Pumper Advisory
I
Committee. The application can be found on the County's website at:
www.countvofg[enn.net/government/committees-commissions or contact the Department of Agriculture at
(530) 934-6501 to have an application sent to you. Applications are due no later than November 4, 2016. The
Board will consider the applications and make appointments to the committee on November 15, 2016. The
