We serve the community as anon-profit, Home Health and Hospice organization and are a signif cant employer in this region. We live at 274 Centennial Avenue and have owned the property since 1989. When we built our home in 1990, just about every property in this area had a horse or two on it. There were several large boarding stables on Centennial. Horses are good for the economy and are in keeping with the flavor of Bidwell Park. A prayer answered would be the old Woolery Stable be resurrected, rather than the proposed building of 32 homes on 4 acres. The community will not benefit from mare dense housing on the park perimeter. I also believe in addition to allowing well run boarding stables; the average number of horses per acre should be two. Horseback riding is a family affair to be enjoyed in small groups, not singles. We have precious few lots left on the park large enough. to have horses. We need to re-establish the horse population around the park. The average horse owning family's income is above $100,040 per year. These family demographics are good far the economy and stability of our community. I hope you will consider encouraging the equestrian family lifestyle as a community and park asset. This is truly the time to make this a legacy gift back to the community and the park.
