HomeMy WebLinkAboutReclamation District No. 833 - Basin Boundary Modification Request BUTTE COUNTY .ADMINISTRATION JUN 0 7 2010 OROVILLE,CALIPORMA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the regular meeting of Reclamation District No. 1004 to be held on June 13"', 2018 at the hour of 1 :45 p.m., at the office of Reclamation District No. 1004 (RD 1004) located at 317 4 h Street, Colusa, California, the RD 1004 Board of Trustees will consider comments and suggestions on RD 1004's proposal that the approximate 730 acres of land owned by Reclamation District No. 833 (RD833), which land has been within the boundaries of RD 1004 since it's the formation of RD 1004, be included within the West Butte Subbasin instead of being included within the East Butte Subbasin under the terms of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) as it is at the present time. Attached is a copy of RD 1004's Application to the Department of Water Resources for movement of RD833's approximate 730 acres into the West Butte Subbasin and into the area which RD 1004 has elected to exercise the Groundwater Sustainability authority under SGMA and a map showing the land involved in the proposed basin change. The Board of Trustees will consider any comments, suggestions, objections, or other information that interested parties may wish to submit on this subject before determining whether or not to approve the Application to DWR to move RD833's 730 acres into the West Butte Subbasin, as contrasted with leaving the 730 acres in the East Butte Subbasin, for SGMA administration purposes. Written comments may be sent to RD 1004 at the following address: 317 4th Street, Colusa, California 95932. This Notice will be mailed to all parties who may be interested in this change administering SGMA or participating in SGMA processes within the Northerly portion of the Sutter Subbasin, the West Butte Subbasin within Colusa County, and the East Butte Subbasin south of State Highway 162, as well as the Colusa County Groundwater Authority.
