As you know, our neighborhood is one of Chico's most historic. This is just one reason not to join it to rural Gridley in this redistricting process. This obviously is a political move with little thought to the residents of the neighborhood. I object strongly. If nothing else, I ask that you consider historic preservation, environmental concerns, and community pride and leave our neighborhood out of Gridley. To the Supervisors of Butte County: Larry Wahl's gerrymandering of our 2nd Supervisory district is wrong. Yam opposed to the redistricting of Chico neighborhoods, by reFnoving the oldest neighborhood along with a big portion of the areas around Chico State, and putting them into the ~}th Supervisory district with Gridley & Biggs to the the Sutter County Line. It would good for all of us and all the taxpayers of Butte co. if this were stopped in its tracks. As one of my neighbors put it: South or West Chico neighborhoods belong with downtown in the 2nd district, not with Gridley Wahl was wrong to push Measure A and wrong to gut Chico by drawing his awn lines Larry Wahl should not be in charge of drawing his own lines (Fox at the chicken coop) Doesn't Wahl ever see himself in a conflict of interest. The FPPC did when they fined him for $12,500. Redistricting should not be done by the Supervisors- their conflicts are obvious South (or West) Chico for decades has been in the same supervisorial district as downtown theUniversity.
