Many changes have been made on the design and features of flood control projects, since this Feasibility Study was initially started in 1999, and we expect the Study to modify the alternatives to a more ecosystem friendly, low maintenance, adaptive management approach to improving the floodways and ecosystem. The Study should serve as a forum to bring the diverse interests of the residential and agricultural landowners; Reclamation Districts; businesses; State Highways; emergency services and public agencies into a partnership to provide mutual flood protection. Our sponsorship is subject to the determination of study costs, financial participants, funding and the negotiation of cost-sharing agreements. We understand that this Letter of Intent is not a binding commitment by Butte County with the Corps.
