Technically I am the employer of the provider/providers that care forme in my home so that I have the choice to stay at home instead of being placed in an institution where my quality of life would be drastically reduced. I enjoy living at home, but I'm totally dependent on the help of services in my community like IHSS to help me live a happy, healthy, and safe life in my home. I am a lucky person, for I do have support from family. Many people like myself do not have support for living at home other than services provided like IHSS. Please help me to have the Choice to remain at home. Not only for me, but for the many others that need this service that cannot speak for themselves or a caring person to help speak on their behalf. Many people on 1HSS are feeling threatened and are afraid on top of dealing with all our physical and mental disabilities we must live with. I am the employe~•, through IHSS, for the provider. I would like to see you help the IHSS program as a whole to continue to help our community. Please find a way to fit it in your 2012-2013 budget to give providers a fair wage and health care so they can continue to provide services to the recipients who receive IHSS. I don't want to be institutionalized! Iwant to stay home with my family, pets, and my own room. I don't want a bunch of random strangers caring for me. Would you want this for your life? Sincerely, Teal Rotchy, Recipient IHSS This message sent with help of family and friends who care about my choice of life. F
