it was discovered that the leach pit pumps at the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility had

failed. In order to stay in compliance with state and federal regulations, an emergency repair
was requested of North State Electric & Pump, Chico, CA. New pumps were ordered, and the
installation took place on April 24, 2014, at a total cost of $5,933.88. Board ratification is
requested for this emergency repair, pursuant to the Contracts Purchasing Policy, section 2.2
(c) - action requested - RATIFY EMERGENCY REPAIR AT NEAL ROAD RECYCLING AND WASTE
FACILITY.
