3. CONSENT AGENDA
3.23 Resolution Ratifying Local Disaster Proclamation and Requesting Gubernatorial Proclamation -
Paul Hahn, the Chief Administrative Officer, declared a local emergency on October 9, 2017,
due to the Cherokee-LaPorte fires and evacuation of hundreds of Butte County residents. In
order to obtain State and federal dollars to help with the recovery, a local emergency must be
declared. In accordance with the California Emergency Services Act Section 8630(b) the
governing body must ratify the declared emergency within seven (7) days for it to remain in
effect—action requested—ADOPT RESOLUTION AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN. (County
