NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956 the Butte County Board of
Supervisors hereby calls a Special Meeting as follows:
9:00 A.M. 1.00 CALL TO ORDER
1.01 Call to Order - Board of Supervisors Room, County
Administration Building, 25 County Center Drive,
Oroville.
2.00 CORRECTIONS AND~OR CHANGES TO THE AGENDA
3.00 CONSENT AGENDA (NO Items)

4.01 * Existence of a Local Emergency - commencing June 10,
2008, the Ophir and Humboldt fires resulted in a
declaration of an existence of a local emergency.
Pursuant to the requirements of the California
Emergency Services Act, the governing body must ratify
the declared emergency - action requested:
1. ACCEPT PROCLAMATION OF EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL
EMERGENCY MADE WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11, 2008;
2. ADOPT A RESOLUTION WHICH RATIFIES THE
PROCLAMATION OF EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY
AND REQUESTS THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA PURSUE A PRESIDENTIAL DECLARATION OF
DISASTER FOR BUTTE COUNTY AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR
TO SIGN;
3. CONFIRM NEED FOR CONTINUING THE PROCLAMATION OF A
LOCAL EMERGENCY, IF APPLICABLE; OR
4. ADOPT A RESOLUTION OF TERMINATION OF A LOCAL
EMERGENCY AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN.
