4.01 *Comprehensive Analysis of Fund Balances - On October
27, 2009, staff provided a report containing summary
analysis and reporting of fund balances in each of the
County’s governmental funds as of June 30, 2009. The
Board directed staff to return with a detailed
breakdown of fund balances, including descriptions of
restrictions - action requested - ACCEPT FOR
INFORMATION. (Chief Administrative Office)
4.02 *Presentation of Five-Year Fiscal Forecast - the
presentation will include discussion of fund balance,
the assumptions behind the forecast, and the
implications for future budget discussions.- action

4.03*Report on the Feasibility of Restoration of Public
Safety and Fire Funding - On November 23, 2009, the
Board directed staff to bring forward, as soon as
possible, a focused report that discusses possible
restoration of funds for public safety and fire
protection with a clear recommendation on how these
services can be improved in a way that can be

4.04*Fire and Emergency Response Services Funding Options -
The Board of Supervisors directed staff to explore
options for funding countywide fire and emergency
response services. Staff provided a report that
detailed various funding options for these services at
the December 8, 2009 Board of Supervisors meeting and
the Board directed staff to bring this item back on the
December 14, 2009 agenda for direction -action
requested - ACCEPT FOR INFORMATION AND PROVIDE
DIRECTION TO STAFF AS NEEDED. (Chief Administrative
