I reside in Paradise,CA and I am invested in the positive future of our community.I currently serve on the PID board and represent District 5.Since serving on the board I have become much more aware of our surface water and ground water and how important it is to monitor not only the quantity of water available, but also the quality of the water. We are facing many challenges these days with recent drought conditions and increasing regulatory restrictions and reallocations of water to other parts of the state. I would like to be involved in the process of ensuring that we protect our water and allocate it Fairly while maintaining our delta system and limiting hardships to food producing entities that rely on water to provide our commodities. I am the CEO of Spray Chem Chemical Company in Durham,CA.I have been actively involved in commercial water treatment for 40 years. I have a considerable amount of knowledge in the area of potable water and waste water.I have personally built, installed and maintained many commercial systems for a large variety of chemical related applications, including chlorination and waste water treatment systems.I am knowledgeable on current state and federal water treatment requirements for both potable and waste water.I maintain a large library on regulatory requirements including legislation updates that effect water treatment. I have a full laboratory at my business and regularly use it to analyze water quality for metals and organics as they relate to my customers water treatment programs. I feel that my knowledge and experience in this field would be an asset to the commission and I would be honored to become a member if so selected for this position. Warm regards, Cliff Jacobson
