BOARD WORKSHOP MEETING

Yuba County Water Agency Board of Directors is leading a Special Workshop to provide an overview
of efforts to improve our watershed and protect our communities. U.S. Forest Service Ranger Randy
Gould will Provide a summary presentation focusing on how the U.S. Forest service is working
together with partners and surrounding communities to improve forest health on public lands that the
USFS manages. Improved forest health results in reduced threat of catastrophic wildfires, improved
watershed management, water quality and increased water supply.
The presentation will highlight successes, partnership opportunities and management considerations.
Ranger Gould will highlight projects that have been done in Yuba County as well as the surrounding
Bullards Bar reservoir and discuss current and future projects planned in the area.
Other speakers have been invited to provide further input on the topic, representing the Sierra Nevada
Conservancy, the Safe Forest Coalition and legislative representatives.
