HomeMy WebLinkAbout9.25.19 PSPS Update - McCracken, Shari Wau hMelanie From: McCracken, Shari Sent: Wednesday, September 25, 2019 2:26 PM To: BOS Cc: Ring, Brian Subject: PSPS Update Board Members, PG&E was given the "all clear" to begin inspecting lines at 1:30 this afternoon. PG&E will start at the substations and work out from the substations along the transmission lines. The transmission Vines will be patrolled by the 12 helicopters they have in the area first, then the crews on the ground will get a look at the distribution lines and restore if there is no damage seen. There is no estimate for complete restoration at this point. PG&E says they will make efforts to restore customers that were impacted by both the Monday night and Wednesday morning events first, but the customers further out in remote areas will be challenging and may not happen until this evening or later. Customer Resource Centers (CRCs) will remain open the rest of this afternoon, and PG&E will evaluate if they are needed tomorrow. Stats for the CRCs are as follows: • Oroville—15 residents for the Monday event; 8 residents for the Wednesday event Magalia —34 residents for the Monday event; 24 for the Wednesday event There will be another call with PG&E at 5:30 tonight. I will share any updates provided.
