THERE WILL BE NO BREAKFAST THIS MONTH. July 4th is the first Sunday,
and our volunteers will be spending it with family and friends. The
Community Picnic is the third week.
Robinson Mill Fire Station: I attended the Board of Supervisors
meetings on both June 22nd, and June 23rd. Butte County Fire Chief
Henri Brachias gave his presentation on how strapped for funds the
CDF is and ended up proposing to close the Richvale Fire Station.
The Supervisors stated that no stations would close until after the
state budget was finalized. It was also affirmed that it would be up
to the Supervisors to approve any Station closure, and that CDF could
only make recommendations.
Working on this situation, I encountered a lot of amazement, by all
of responsible officials as to why Robinson Mill was even proposed
for closure. This is a pivotal Station which is mid -way between the
Kelly Ridge Communities and Clipper Mills which has no members of
their volunteer fire department. Added to this was the knowledge
that last years passed Senate Bili 621 established that the Indian
Gaming Special Distribution Fund would grant monies to local
government agencies impacted by Casinos. It was known at the CDF
that the Palermo and Kelly Ridge Communities would get around
$244,000 to offset the cost of operation of fire stations. Why would
any competent agency which is hired to protect our safety and support
our health in responding to emergencies even propose closing Robinson
Noll Fire Station?

Dear Sir;
I am writing this letter to inform you of a situation which I believe to be a threat to the
safety and well being of the residents of the Feather Falls area. Due to the "political
situation" on the mountain, I am not including my name or address for fear of
repercussions.
On a recent visit to the GoldFlake Saloon, located at 1301 Lumpkin Road, Feather -]falls,
CA, I noticed many violations of the California Safety Codes. It has come to my
attention that the owner of the GoldFlake Saloon, Mr. Jake Albright, who is not an
electrician, did all the re -wiring of the GoldFlake Saloon himself. There are niany
switches, which do not work and exposed wiring throughout the Saloon.
I believe that since the GoldFlake Saloon is a public business and due this inferior Wir ng
job there is a potential health and safety hazard to the customers of the GoldFlake Saloon
and I and therefore requesting that an inspection be made of the premises for the safety of
the public.
Again, due to Mr. Albright's reputation for revenge, I am ashamed to admit that I am
afraid to enclose my name or address.
