WHEREAS, on January 29, 2019, the Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance No. 4154 —An Ordinance of the
County of Butte — "Camp Fire Disaster Recovery Ordinance"; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 4154 is codified in Chapter 53 of the, Butte County Code; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 53, Article 11, requires all fire debris within the Camp Fire burn area to be removed through
either the State's Government Fire Debris Removal Program (Government Program) or the County's Alternative Fire Debris
Removal Program (Alternative Program); and
WHEREAS, Section 53-16(C) of the Butte County Code allows the Board of Supervisors to set a deadline for work
to be completed under the Alternative Program; and
WHEREAS, the Government Program is nearing completion for the majority of properties and the County has
begun abatement of properties that did not enter either the Government Program or the Alternate Program; and
WHEREAS, the State estimates that all Government debris removal will be completed by February 29, 2020,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby establishes February 29,
2020, as the deadline for all work to be completed on properties in the Alternative Program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 19th day of November 2019, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors, Connelly, Lucero, Ritter, Teeter, and Chair Lambert
