WHEREAS, Butte County Code Section 2.1 provides that the Board of Supervisors may, by resolution, specify those
hours during which individual departments will be open to the public; and
WHEREAS, the Paradise Branch Library re -opened on August 1, 2.019 to the public; and
WHEREAS, the County Library has made adjustments in open hours as a result of the devastating Camp Fire; and
WHEREAS, the Paradise Branch Library open hours may require several such adjustments to meet the need for
services at as of the community as it recovers, and
WHEREAS, the County wishes to remain nimble in its response to the Paradise community; and
WHEREAS, the County Librarian and the Library Department are monitoring the needs of the community weekly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby delegate authority to the
County Librarian to set hours according to community need through July 1, 2020,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 19th day of November, 2019, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Lucero, Ritter, Teeter, and Chair Lambert
