Subject: Notice of Administrative Permit Approval – STR19-0006; APN: 040-020-151
Dear Property Owner:
At the regular meeting of the Butte County Planning Commission held on December 12, 2019, a Short-
Term Rental Administrative Permit (STR19-0006) for Michael Brown and Paula Davis was approved. The
administrative permit allows the dwelling located at 10588 Chayote Drive, Chico, CA; Assessor Parcel
Number: 040-020-151, to be rented on a short-term basis (less than 30 continuous days). The terms and
conditions of the permit are in effect for one year from the date of approval, after which the permit may be
renewed or become expired.

In addition, the conditions and requirements of the Administrative Permit may be found or the rental

The Department of Development Services would like to ensure that the short-term rental property does not
alter the quality of life for you, persons living at your residence, or affect the character of the existing
neighborhood. To this end, if you or persons residing at your property experience any unreasonable or
offensive behaviors from the tenants of the short-term rental, we strongly encourage you to contact the
rental’s designated property manager by phone, text or email to resolve the situation. The designated
property manager will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is required to resolve and respond
to any complaints they receive in a timely manner (within 30 minutes).

If for any reason the property manager has not responded in a timely manner, or has not successfully
addressed your concerns, please call the County’s short-term rental complaint hotline at 530.250.4118
(also 24 hours a day) or file a complaint online at:
https://safe.hostcompliance.com/tips/route.
If you are not in agreement with the decision by the Planning Commission, you must file an appeal in
writing, together with the appeal fee of $724.00. The written appeal and fee must be submitted to the
following address, prior to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23rd:
