AUTHORITY AND BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH 513-PT-2019BC
WHEREAS, Butte County Department of Behavioral Health requires authorization to participate in the California
Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) Inter -Member Transfer program in order comply with the statue under
Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) §14717.1, for the prompt transfer of funds related to the specialty mental health
services being provided or arranged for foster children placed outside of the county's jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, Butte County Department of Behavioral Health requires authorization for the transfer of funds to
CaIMHSA as called for by the Inter -Member Transfer Program Participation Agreement, in the initial amount of $30,0001
(which includes 5% administration costs of $1,428.57) for the first quarter, with continuous funding thereafter, in the
amount determined after first quarter assessment of actual services as the Receiving County; and
WHEREAS, Butte County Department of Behavioral Health requires authorization for CaIMHSA to act on behalf of
County to transfer funds to receiving county, consistent with the provisions of the Participation Agreement and WIC §
14717.1; and
WHEREAS, CaIMHSA requires the Butte County Board of Supervisors to authorize Scott Kennelly, Interim Director
Butte County Behavioral Health to sign the Inter -Member Transfer Participation Agreement on behalf of the County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Department of Behavioral Health is authorized by the
Board of Supervisors to accept this agreement with the State Department of Health Care Services for a total of $30,000
and to accept above described provisions of this agreement.
