HomeMy WebLinkAbout20-005WHEREAS, a local emergency presently exists in the County of Butte related to the 2019 Public Safety Power
Shutoff (PSPS) Events, in accordance with the initial proclamation made by the Chief Administrative Officer on the 8th day
of June, 2019 and reaffirmed and ratified by the Board, of Supervisors on the 11th day of June, 25th day of June, 23rd day of
July, 131h day of August, 8th day of October, and 19' day of November, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) occurred on these dates and impacted the approximate
number of customers and Medical Baseline customers in Butte County:
• June 8 through 9, 20191, 25,000 customers of which 1,400 were Medical Baseline customers
• September 23, 2019, 12,100 customers of which 902 were Medical Baseline customers
• September 25, 2019, 35,000 customers of which 1,800, were Medical Baseline customers
• October 5, 2019, 11,000 customers of which 650 were Medical Baseline customers
• October 9, 2019, 32,000 customers of which 2,000 were Medical Baseline customers
• October 23, 2019, 18,000 customers of which 1,300 were Medical Baseline customers
• October 26, 2019, 22,000 customers of which 1,400 were Medical Baseline customers
• October 29, 2019, 16,000 customers of which 1,100 were Medical Baseline customers
• November 20, 2019, 287 customers of which 20 were Medical Baseline customers
WHEREAS, conditions of extreme peril are now deemed to be within the control of the normal protective services,
personnel, equipment and facilities within the County of Butte.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does
hereby proclaim the termination of said local emergency.
