FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors established the Butte County Master Fee Schedule by Resolution on March
24, 2009 and has amended the Fee Schedule overtime; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the California Constitution and the laws of the State of California, the
County of Butte is authorized to adopt and implement fees for services, provided however, that such fees do not exceed
the estimated reasonable cost of providing such service; and
WHEREAS, the County strives to increase and maintain clarity, consistency, and transparency of the fee process;
ME
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has reviewed their fees for accuracy and identified a new fee and
general cleanup in their fee schedule; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works requests to add one new fee for Subdivision and Site Improvement
and Grading — Permit Exemptions in their fee schedule; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works requests to apply changes for general cleanup by renumbering and
clarifying fee language to four fees in their fee schedule; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works lists land use fees in in their fee schedule; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66017(a), land use fees shall be effective no sooner than 60
days following the final action on the adoption of the fee or charge or increase in the fee or charge; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was noticed ten days prior to the, date of this Resolution to allow consideration of the
proposed fee adjustments prior to adoption of this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby adopts fees as
delineated in Exhibit A and amends the Butte County Master Fee Schedule to reflect the changes; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED all fee adjustments shall become effective March 30, 2020.

vote:
