HomeMy WebLinkAbout20-025WHEREAS, section 3694, 3698, and 3699 of the California Revenue and Taxation Cade authorizes the Board of
Supervisors ("the Board") to approve the sale of tax -defaulted property upon notice from the County Treasurer -Tax
Collector ("the Department"); and
WHEREAS, the Department has given the required notice and has requested the Board to approve the sale of
the tax -defaulted property in accordance with Section 3698 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code; and
WHEREAS, the Department has requested the Board to authorize the Department to offer parcels that died not
obtain the minimum bids during the previous tax sale at a reduced minimum price deemed appropriate by the
Department pursuant to section 3698 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code; and
WHEREAS, the Department has requested the Board to approve the Department to re -offer parcels that do not
sell at auction within a 90 day period at a reduced minimum price deemed appropriate by the Department pursuant to
sections 3692 and 3698 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code; and
WHEREAS, section 4675 of the California Revenue and Taxation Cade authorizes the Department to approve and
distribute excess proceeds from sold properties; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDâ–º, the Board authorizes the Department to notify any parties of interest in
accordance with Section 3701 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board, pursuant to the above referenced notice and
request, hereby grants approval of the referenced sales of tax -defaulted property (Attachment A). The Department is
directed to sell the property described in the notice as provided for by law pursuant to Chapter 7 of Part 6 of Division 1 of
the California Revenue and Taxation Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board authorizes the Department to offer parcels that did
not obtain the minimum bids during the previous tax sale at a reduced minimum price deemed appropriate by the
Department pursuant to section 3698 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board authorizes the Department to re -offer unsold
properties from the June auction at a subsequent auction within a 90 -day period in accordance with Section 3692(e) of
the California Revenue and Taxation Code at a price deemed appropriate in accordance with Section 3698.5(c) and
3698.7(c) of the California Revenue and Taxation Code, and any new parties of interest will be notified in accordance
with Section 37011 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board authorizes the Department to approve and distribute
excess proceeds from sold properties in accordance with section 4675 of the Callifornia Revenue and Taxation Code.
