Due to work obligations I am unable to attend the meeting to advocate in person for a yes vote, but I hope you'll consider a voting yes. This phase is only a feasibility study, and this potential project could lead to a vital revenue stream for PID that would not only benefit PID but benefit CalWater as well. As a biologist, I've been closely following their thorough and responsible handling of the Camp Fire's potential impacts to the water supply, public health and safety, and the Recovery efforts related to the VOC contamination discovered in localized areas of the distribution system, primarily in service lines to burned structures and dead-end, smaller diameter main pipes. I have been quite impressed by and I am confident in the methods they've employed to assess the issue and restore potable water service to the community as efficiently as possible. I'm concerned that blocking this feasibility study when funding for the study has been identified outside the County's budget would be irresponsible and could have significant negative impacts on PID as a local water district in spite of all the district has persevered in the wake of the Camp Fire. Thank you for carefully considering this vote, especially as the potential negative impacts of conducting the study seem unclear and insignificant in comparison to the potential negative impacts of blocking the study. Without research, I'm not sure why there would be any contention to study the feasibility of such a project that seems to benefit PID AND CalWater. I'd like a copy of the full notes from the 10/8 meeting. I'm hoping to understand the reasoning behind Supe Lucero's possible intention to reverse her vote. I'd also like to understand the repercussions of a no vote. Can the parties involved look for another company to conduct the feasibility study? Is it that company or contract that has been called into question? It seems late in the game to reverse it, since the contract has been signed and executed based on the first vote, but it must be legal to reverse it since it is on the agenda to consider? I've been watching for notes from the 10/22 meeting and they still aren't there but it seems that was just delay on the reconsideration until 11/5 waiting on documents from CalWater regarding another feasibility study conducted by the same contractor. But if any notes from that meeting might also shed light I'd like to see them. Can you provide me with any publicly available background documents?
