Re: Notice to Terminate Contract
Dear Mr. Duncan:
On September 10, 2019, Butte County entered into a contract with West Yost Associates to
conduct a feasibility study on a Paradise Irrigation District—California Water Service Chico
Intertie, On November 5, 2019, the Butte County Board of Supervisors reconsidered the
September 10, 2019 motion that approved the contract, agreement and budget adjustment.
The action of the Board of Supervisors failed to have a 4/5 vote which prevents approval of the
budget adjustment. Therefore, pursuant to section 7 of the contract, Butte County is notifying
you that the contract is terminated effective 30 days from today (December 5, 2019).
West Yost Associates must immediately cease all work related to the project. Butte County is
obligated to reimburse West Yost Associates for work conducted between September 10 —
November 5, 2019, Please submit an invoice for the work conducted up to November 5, 2019.
