April 28, 2020 Angelo and April Bosco 8090 Melvina Ave Palermo, CA 95966 Subject: Non-Conforming Temporary 2nd Dwelling “Aunt Minnie” (ADM 88-48); APN: 027-310-006 Dear New Owner:
It has been brought to our attention that on your property a temporary second dwelling (Aunt Minnie) remains from previous owners. According to our records, an Administrative Permit (ADM 88-48) was
issued originally to Larry Jones to allow for the temporary placement of a mobile home to care for a family member or close friend. With the sale of the property to a different owner (and subsequent owners), the temporary residential dwelling is deemed non-conforming with Butte County Code. In order to bring the
temporary residential dwelling into conformance with County Code, one of the following actions must be accomplished:
1. Remove the temporary 2nd dwelling (with required Demolition Permit issued by the Butte County Building Division).
2. Convert the temporary 2nd dwelling into a permanent Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) (with a
Conversion Permit issued by the Building Division).
3. Apply for an Administrative Permit for a temporary 2nd dwelling for the care of a family member or friend, while the property owner is occupying one of the dwellings. (The Administrative Permit is $792.82 for the first two years. Annual renewals are currently $93.72, A $1,500.00 security deposit is also required, which can be paid by check/cash, CD or bond)
You are responsible for back fees and or removal of Unit. Please contact us ASAP with status of Temporary Mobile.
