ASSISTANCE, AND PREVENTION PROGRAM FUNDING
WHEREAS, the California Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council in the Business, Consumer Services and
Housing Agency has provided one-time flexible grant funds to Continuum of Cares, large cities (population of 300,000+)
and counties as defined in the December 6, 2019 HHAP Notice of Funding; and
WHEREAS, Butte County ("Applicant")', was awarded funds totaling $2,872,988.00, of which $1,491,354.64 were
allocations redirected to Butte County from the Butte Countywide Continuum of Care; and
WHEREAS, The Applicant shall be subject to the terms and conditions that are specified in the Homeless
Housing, Assistance and Prevention Standard Agreement, and that Applicant will use the Homeless Housing, Assistance
and Prevention funding to support regional coordination, and to expand or develop local capacity to address immediate
homelessness challenges.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors does hereby determine and
declare as follows:
SECTION 1: That Applicant is hereby authorized and directed to accept the Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention
grant funding.
SECTION 2: That Shelby Boston, Director of Butte County Employment and Social Services, or her designee, is hereby
authorized and directed to act on behalf of Butte County in connection with the Homeless Housing, Assistance and
Prevention grant funding, and to enter into, execute,, and deliver any and all documents required or deemed necessary.
