WHEREAS, Mrs. Erickson is a wife to Chad Erickson, she is also a mother to four ch,ildren,, in addition to being their
teacher;
WHEREAS, Emilia Erickson hes worked tirelessly to promote the values of the Comcow and Yankee Hi|K
communities through her volunteerism and hard work; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Erickson works to unite the communities ofConcovv and Yankee Hill through creating and
managing the community Facebook page, posts resources on social media to ensure community members can find needed
materials and supplies; and monitors the fresh produce table at Pines Hardware to guarantee community members have
equal access tVfresh produce; and
WHEREAS, keepingthecommnmun:itiesofComoovvand Yankee Hill safe, Mrs. Erickson has worked forCmncovvSchomL
served as the Life Guard for the [oncovv Pool, and raised money to purchase and install a safety mirror at the corner of
Jordan Hill Road and ComcovvRoad tmassis1drivers inseeing oncoming trafNe; and
WHEREAS, Emilia Erickson is a Camp Fire Zone Captain for the [onco�w and Yankee Hill communities. The Zone
Captain Project is designed to be community members helping community members to in,spire resiliency and rebuilding
after the Camp Fire,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby reco�nizes Emilia Erickson
as a 0nnnmundv Member ofExcellence for her perseverance, compassion, and commitment tothe Cuncow and Yankee
Hill communities.
