I AU 0014 EXTRA I rol ki K01 SX014GINA-krill WHEREAS, Section 8-5 of the Butte County Code empowers the Chief Administrative Officer to proclaim the existence, or threatened existence of a locail emergency when said County is affected, or likely to be affected, by a local emergency and the Board of Supervisors is not in session; and WHEREAS, on, February 14 through February 28, 2019, severe storms of rain, wind', and snow, known as the February 2019 Storms, hit in and around the County of Butte; and WHEREAS, the February 2019 storms lead to the evacuation of residents and major damage to roads and other critical infrastructure; and WHEREAS, on February 28, 2019, Butte County Chief Administrative Officer Shari McCracken proclaimed a, Local Emergency in Butte County, which declaration was ratified by the Board of Supervisors on March 5, 2019; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Proclamation of Local Emergency in Butte County due to the February 2019 Storms shall be deemed to continue to exist until its termination.
