Heads March 18, 2020 Lab Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Butte County: ZERO Information Update: # Tested: 44 # Negative: 19 We still remain at zero cases. You will note I have added a text box to # Pending: 15 the right here that will have numbers in it. As stated before, we are unable to give exact numbers of tests that have been performed for Butte County residents. These are the number of tests that Public Health knows about. There are most likely more tests that have been performed through commercial labs that we are not aware of. Information about how tests are performed and what test kits are went out to you all last night but I am also attaching here for your convenience. We also pushed out this same information to various media outlets yesterday. In addition, Dr. Miller did a short video explaining testing and you can view that on the PH Facebook page. Video on Facebook from Dr. Miller. We intend to do these short videos daily as long as time allows. Public Health Department of Operation Center (DOC) elevated our activation level to 3, which means more focus is put toward this event and less time given to everyday business. Our DOC org chart has expanded and we continue to add personnel to this response effort.
