Please see the message I just sent Department Heads. I have not had a chance to read the
details of the State's Order but have been informed it is similar to the Bay Area Orders which
won't impact how we are currently operating, as we were already abiding by the Governor's
guidance.
More to come tomorrow. Staff needs time to review and prepare messages for internal and
external purposes.

Subject:Governor's Statewide Order
All,
Many of you may have seen or heard about the Governor's Statewide Order to
shelter in-place. I have not seen the details, yet, but have been told it is similar to
the Bay Area Orders. This has no impact on essential services provided by the
County, and as you have already identified in your COOPs. Please know that one
County has gone as far as classifying all County services as essential.
I will be working with our PIO team on internal and and external messaging for
tomorrow, as this caught us all by surprise with less than 5 minutes notice.
Please reassure your staff if they reach out to you.
