IhavebroughttwoitemforwardtoHRandwastoldthatasthispointthecountywasnotin
thepositiontomoveforward:

Firstitem:
IsIwouldliketheCountytomodifytheCurrentlanguageasintoregardstoworking
Overtimeandthenusageofsicktime.
MeaningifoneoftheemployeesisworkingOTandthebeginningoftheweekandfallssick
attheendoftheweekandusessicktimetheemployeesOTistakenaway.Rightnowinthis
crisis, manyworkersdon’thavetheoptioniftheyaregoingtositatthehospitalwithaclient
orourSocialserviceworkersdon’tdeservetohaveachilddetainedandworklonghoursjust
topossiblygetsickattheendoftheweekandlosetheirOT.
AgainI’maskingforsicktimetobeaccountedforhoursworkedwhenitpertainstoOT.
SecondItem,
Hastodowithinregardstohazardpay,
I’msuggestingthatforthoseemployeeswhoarecominginandworkingandworktheir40
hoursbecompensatedwith8hourofCTOputintotheiraccruals
Or
Paytheemployeesanextra$1.50anhourforhazardpay.
Thesemodificationswouldstayinplacethroughoutthiscrisis!
